History of Physics Group Event

Saturday 9 March 2002
Oxford Science Walk

The walk will commence at 1:30 pm, at the Radcliffe Camera (outside All Souls). Please try to be on time. Latecomers can pick up the walk at 2 pm outside the Museum of the History of Science.

The guided walk takes in Robert Boyle and Robert Hooke's plaque, Edmond Halley's former residence, the Museum of the History of Science, the Sheldonian Theatre and Wadham College and will finish with a key note lecture given by Professor Robert Fox (Modern History Faculty, Oxford University) on Science in Oxford.

The lecture will be given at 3:45 pm, in the Lindermmann Lecture Theatre on Park's Road.

Friends are welcome, but all places must be booked in advance. We regret that numbers for the walk are limited to 40 - but Oxford has much to offer for an afternoon and all will be welcome to attend the lecture at 3:45 pm.

If you wish to attend the walk and/or lecture contact Olivia Davies.
